The Denza Z9 GT is BYD's flagship grand tourer — a large luxury shooting brake designed to challenge the Porsche Panamera Sport Turismo, Mercedes-Benz E-Class Estate and BMW 5 Series Touring on every measure that counts. Penned by Wolfgang Egger, the design director behind some of Audi's most celebrated models, the Z9 GT combines sculptural European elegance with Chinese engineering ambition.
At its core is BYD's e³ tri-motor independent drive system — three electric motors working independently, delivering 710 kW of combined output and a 0-100 km/h time of just 3.4 seconds. The same system enables the Z9 GT's signature capability: rear-wheel steering at up to 20 degrees, allowing crab-walk manoeuvres, a turning circle of just 4.62 metres, and a level of manoeuvrability unprecedented in a 5.18-metre grand tourer.
Inside, the Z9 GT sets a new benchmark for Chinese luxury. Dual refrigerators — a 4-litre front unit and a 10-litre rear unit — are standard. The Devialet 26-speaker audio system delivers concert-hall acoustics. Optional cameras replace conventional mirrors, feeding displays integrated into the door cards. e³ Tri-Motor Independent Drive
Three independently controlled electric motors — one on the front axle, two on the rear — deliver 710 kW and 1,150 Nm. Each motor operates independently for precision torque vectoring in any condition.
20° Rear-Wheel Steering & Crabwalk
The rear axle steers up to 20 degrees — the widest angle of any production car. Combined with the tri-motor system, this enables crab-walk at 15 degrees and a turning circle of just 4.62 metres in a 5.18-metre car.
Wolfgang Egger Design
Designed by the former head of design at Audi — the Z9 GT's flowing shooting brake silhouette, frameless doors, pop-up handles and optional camera mirrors make it one of the most distinctive grand tourers on any road.

The Denza Z9 GT is built on BYD's e-Platform 3.0 Evo — an 800V architecture that enables 270 kW DC charging and sub-4-second acceleration from a family grand tourer. The e³ tri-motor independent drive system controls three motors individually, enabling torque vectoring, crabwalk and 20-degree rear-wheel steering — capabilities previously confined to purpose-built performance vehicles. DiSus-A intelligent air suspension reads the road ahead and adjusts damping in milliseconds. God's Eye intelligent driving uses LiDAR, cameras and radar for full autonomous highway and urban capability. OTA updates continuously improve every system.
